Yes. Each member uses one seat, and so does each pending invitation. Team includes 8 seats and Studio includes 20. For a team of 9 to 20, choose Studio. Solo and Solo Pro are for one person.

No. Create an organization, choose Team or Studio, and invite your team by email. There is no demo, no setup call, and no training. To try the editor first, start on the free Solo plan.

No. Each language can start from an AI draft, an imported SRT or VTT file, the timing of another language, or a blank page.

Yes. Your videos and subtitles are stored privately, and only people in your organization can open them. There are no public pages or share links. When you use AI, the audio goes to ElevenLabs for transcription and the subtitle text goes to OpenAI for translation. Neither provider uses your videos or subtitles to train its models. When you do not use AI, nothing goes to them.

Solo gets 20 AI minutes once. Paid plans get new minutes each month, and unused minutes do not carry over. When your minutes run out, AI work stops until the reset or until you upgrade. Editing, importing, and exporting keep working. There are no top-ups yet.

Amara is built for open, volunteer subtitling. On its Community teams, any Amara user can see your videos and subtitles, and the workflow to assign an editor and a reviewer and approve each language is on Enterprise, with a price on request. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We do not delete your files. A personal workspace moves to the free Solo plan. A team organization becomes read-only: you can open and download everything, but you cannot edit or upload until you choose a plan again. Files are deleted only when you delete the organization or your account.
