How to make bilingual subtitles
Add both languages
Drop one file in the Top language box and the other file in the Bottom language box.
Check the order
The top file sets the timing, so put the file with the better timing on top. Click Swap files to change the order.
Download
Click Combine files, then Download. Each subtitle shows the top text first and the bottom text below it.

Common questions
What are dual subtitles?
Dual subtitles show two languages on the screen at the same time. In this file, each subtitle has the text of one language on top and the other language below.
How do I get dual subtitles on YouTube?
YouTube plays one subtitle track at a time. Combine your two files here and upload the result as one track.
Can I have subtitles in two languages on Netflix?
This tool works on files, not on streaming apps. For a streaming site, you need a browser extension that adds a second language.
What if the two files have different timing?
The top file sets the timing. Each bottom subtitle joins the top subtitle that it overlaps most. A bottom subtitle that overlaps no top subtitle becomes a subtitle of its own.
Can I add a color or italics to the second language?
No. The file has plain text, because colors and italics look different in each player. Set the style in your player if it allows that.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The tool runs in your browser. Your subtitle file never leaves your computer.
