How do I find and replace text in an SRT file?
Add the file here, type the old text in Find and the new text in Replace with, and click Replace all. Then download the new file.
Can I edit an SRT file online without a program?
Yes, for changes to the text. This page changes words in the browser and does not need an account. To change one subtitle by hand, use a subtitle editor.
How do I delete a word from all subtitles?
Type the word in Find and leave Replace with empty. Turn on Whole words, so the tool does not cut the same letters from inside longer words.
What does Whole words do?
With Whole words on, the word cat matches cat but not cats or concatenate. It also works for languages that do not put spaces between words, such as Japanese.
Does it change the tags around a word?
No. A search for i never touches an <i> tag, and a search for an8 never touches {\an8}. The tool changes the visible text only.
Can I search with wildcards or patterns?
No. The tool looks for the exact text that you type. A dot or a star is a normal character here.
Is my file uploaded?
